Vice-President of IAOEES, Dr. Joey Jung has been named RSC Fellow 2025

Dr. Joey Jung was recently named a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC).



Dr. Joey Jung is the Executive Director of Kemetco Research Inc., a company specializing in specialty analytical chemistry, chemical process development, and extractive metallurgy. He is also the founder of EVT Power Inc., which focuses on the development of current collectors for lithium-ion and lead-acid batteries.


With over 25 years of research and development experience in applied electrochemistry and electrochemical engineering, Dr. Jung has made significant contributions to a wide range of technologies, including lead-acid and lithium-ion batteries, fuel cells, metal-air batteries, electroplating, electrowinning, and the electroreduction of carbon dioxide.


Dr. Jung has published more than 40 scientific papers and authored two books on lead-acid and lithium-ion battery recycling, both published by CRC Press. He also contributed a chapter on lead-acid batteries in the Wiley publication Electrochemical Technologies for Energy Storage and Conversion. He holds over 50 patents and patent applications related to batteries and fuel cell technologies.


Currently, Dr. Jung serves as Vice President and Treasurer of the International Academy of Electrochemical Energy Science (IAOEES).

With 175 years of history, RSC became the world's leading chemistry community. Fellowship of the Royal Society of Chemistry is one of the most prestigious awards conferred by the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) in the United Kingdom.
